Catharina Rima

Catherine was born in Herkimer, New York on September 1, 1800. She married October 19. 1826 at Rome New York about the early 1810s. She married October 19, 1826 at Rome County, New York to Mr. Calvin Young Wemple (born 20 Oct 1801). In 1835 the were listed at Camden, New York with 5 acres of improved land. They had two horses, one cattle and one hog. About 1848 the Wemples moved north east to Oswego County and settled at Sandy Creek. They remained here the rest of their lives. He was a tanner and courier by occupation. They were of extremely modest means. There is a great deal of information in a file in Washington DC on their son Peter Reymore Wemple who died shortly after discharge from the Civil War.

Catherine died there at Sandy Creek October 15, 1871.
